Will Schpero: I Worship at the Feet of Dartmouth Undying

In the same piece that Mostafa linked to in the post below, there is also this little gem:
In an unrelated development on Thursday, the pro-lawsuit Association executive committee majority voted to censure Dartmouth’s Office of Alumni Relations for “providing its listserve and postal addresses to some members of alumni groups while denying those same means of access to other duly elected officers.”

Quite frankly I'm surprised Schpero even mentioned this, given his track record.

Unrelated? The alumni continues to censure the College in every way possible. But the College doesn't care anymore and doesn't have to care.

Again, where's the bias?

He's not making the push-polling up, and he contacted both sides for comment.

Where's the bias? He reported on the Association president's rendition of their interactions with the trustees last summer, but did not report on the other view of the same story, as told by the Association's committee.

The D seems more interested in the uber-story of conflicting stories, rather than doing some serious investigative reporting of what actually transpired. Just like their big brothers in the real world of journalism as entertainment.

Leave the D alone. They are just students. That's why the alumni needs to run the place.

Which is the bigger story here: a few alums telling Will about supposed push-polling that they did not record and therefore imperfectly remember; or the fact that the College refuses to share the alumni list with anyone but its supporters?

Who Runs the Place?

The alumni merely want to remain the choosers of half the trustees who direct the president who manages the deans who lead the faculty and staff that in response to student needs and demands, run the place that Eleazar built.

That parents, donors, and taxpayers fund.

Really, interest on invested prior donations funds Dartmouth, along with tuition (paid by students who take out loans, as well as by parents).

Why does that matter?

Hasn't Dartlog praised Schpero's reporting in the past?

I certainly haven't.

Don't y'all have better things to do than being obsessed with alumni elections?

Where's the bias in this particular news article?
