Venkatesan drops lawsuit plans--Nevermind

UPDATE 8:45pm: In further correspondence with the Review, Venkatesan has stated that she changed her mind and still plans on pursuing legal action against the College.

Earlier today, Review reporter Tyler Brace had a phone conversation with Priya Venkatesan, who informed us that she no longer planned to bring a lawsuit against the College. Venkatesan also confirmed that she is now a research assistant at Northwestern University.

"... I just don't know if going the legal route is really the way to go."

Translation: she contacted an attorney and he explained that she needs therapy, not legal counsel.

Headline: Northwestern Wildcats trade for Priya Venkatesan in exchange for a lawsuit to-be-named later....

It is obvious that this woman is in this for attention, and to draw as much blood from the institution she believes has wronged her along the way. She just happens to be certifiable, so we will probably get bizarre developments like these for a while.

I really hope -- and solely for the sake of my personal entertainment -- that she pursues this lawsuit to the highest possible levels and exhausts every conceivable avenue in her demented quest for an apology for being a crap teacher. This has the potential to be long-lasting, to drag on for years, and to be hilarious for every step.

The "D" and everyone else should be careful to distinguish between people who "plan" to sue and those who have actually spoken to counsel and filed papers - ESPECIALLY in the case of people with only a passing acquaintance with the real world (i.e. profs of literature...).

oh no! I'm a Northwestern student! We'll see for how long, though, I just sent her an email calling her a joke to higher education...

"“If Venkatesan followed through with her lawsuit the same way she followed through with grading our papers, no one would have had anything to worry about,” the student said in an e-mail to The Dartmouth."

I wonder if waterboarding would help get to the truth?

Well, noting how crazy this chick is, she's come a long way in life.

Too bad she didn't get professional help before she ultimately blew up... sad.

However, I doubt she trusts anyone.

I'm sure you elitists get the top of the line heath care over there... they would have fixed her right up so that postmodern bs would have a least sounded coherent.

Not that I care for any of that postmodern crap anyway.

Sounds like a lot of hooey to me.

Pray to God you never work with a crazy person, they live in upside down world where they are ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS the victim and you are the bad guy that deserves pain AND SUFFERING... that's how these people think.

The only people that are "safe" to them are the servilely respectful.

Kids, if you get involved with these people in life, expect a train-wreck situation.
