Dartmouth has just experienced a round of "Indian=Racism" bullshit. Hence, the section of Dartmouth that finds that kind of stuff really really annoying naturally lashes out by picking the Indian just to shove it in the face of Amit and Co. I think support for the Indian is generally based less on a real attachment to it, than on a response to the absurdity of people trying to ban it in the first place. It's anti-PC more than pro-Indian. 3) I propose the Granitemen, a la the Syracuse Orangemen. It's tied into the school tradition (think the alma mater), it's unique, and it'll confuse the hell out of everyone else. 4) Shouldn't we be a little more concerned about getting a football team with an actual winning record than about what we'll call it when people start going to the games again?
