However, it's worth noting that, according to The D article, the non-white population at Dartmouth is not really "approaching 40 percent"; it's at 32.4 percent. That means Dartmouth has a white population of 67.6 percent. This is only a hair's breadth away from the national figure, 69.1 percent.If Dartmouth's goal is an equitable racial balance, it's pretty much been achieved.
