Thursday, December 19, 2002Re: Must have missed a storyA reader writes in to explain:In response to Emmett's puzzlement over the posting on Senator Burns' website, it probably is a response to Bob Herbert's editorial in the NY Times today, which recalls an incident from 1994 in which Burns, when asked by a constituent what it was like to live in DC with "all those niggers", responded with "it's a hell of a challenge."Sigh, these really are lynching times.
